About Us.

Superreal is the creative partnership of producer Rachel Tuffery and journalist-filmmaker Julian Morgans, who met at VICE Australia, where Rachel was Head of Production and Julian was Senior Editor. Together, they’ve delivered standout work including Netflix’s Byron Baes, the investigative hit Scammerland (Top-10 US podcast, 5M+ listens, Apple and Spotify’s “Best of 2025” lists), and What It Was Like, (permanent top-10 on Australian charts).

At Superreal, he created Netflix’s Byron Baes and hosts the hit podcasts What It Was Like and Scammerland. His work digs into subcultures, crime, and power, turning curiosity into original formats with global impact.
