• Parent Kind is the podcast for anyone who’s ever wondered, “Am I doing this right?” Hosted by real parents, it dives into the messy, funny, and heartfelt realities of raising kids—covering everything from sleepless nights and school-gate dramas to co-parenting wins and mental health battles.

What sets it apart is its diversity: LGBTQ+ families, adoptive parents, solo dads, and more. No judgement, no quick fixes—just honest stories, practical tips, and a reminder that nobody has it all figured out (and that’s okay).

  • Winner of Australian Parenting Podcast of the Year 2023, Parent Kind is connection, comfort, and community in audio form.

  • Maggie Kelly.

Maggie Kelly is a writer currently based in Meanjin, Brisbane. She’s mum to toddler Minty Morgans, chip thief and owner of six teeth. Along with her husband Julian (also a podcaster) Maggie decided two weeks after their daughter was born that parents deserve something decent to listen to.

Maggie has worked as a writer and storyteller for over ten years, specialising in the nerdy world of big data and future theories. She has written for The Guardian, SBS, Mamamia, NewsCorp and ODDA magazine, and has plans to write a book on Parentkind as soon as she gets five minutes to sit down.
